Non-drinkers Use An Array of Methods to Avoid Alcohol at Work Events

Many workers feel pressurised to drink when at a work party, simply because everyone else is. The pressure to fit in doesn’t stop in high school in fact it can get worse for some people.

For someone who doesn’t drink or for those avoiding alcohol for whatever reason, there are a number of “Tricks” used to avoid alcohol.

From being the designated driver to pretending they are trying to lose weight, a study found workers use a variety of excuses because they don’t want to be seen as a condescending non-drinker or a stick-in-the-mud.
