A Toowoomba man is an example of the bad that can come from replacing your medication with alcohol. The man, an offender on a Mental Health Act order will apparently be released from jail in time for the festive season.

The man pleaded guilty to 15 offences including shop lifting, breaking into a car, stealing property, being a public nuisance and breaching bail.

Defence lawyer Peter Sloane told the court Widgell was on an involuntary treatment order under the Mental Health Act and would stay under medical supervision following his release.

Excessive alcohol, can definately have an effect on the way we act and our mental state, particularly if we develop alcohol abuse and addiction issues, this is yet another reason why the work of RSA servers is so important and why we need to complete Responsible Service of Alcohol training.
