“Beer o’clock” and “wine o’clock” have been added to the Oxford dictionary.
There have been dozens of new words added to the online edition of Oxford Dictionaries on August 27 and “beer o’clock” and “wine o’clock” are just 2 of them.
The addition of the words signifies their popularity amongst English speakers in the year 2015.
Definitions:
- beer o’clock : An appropriate time of day for starting to drink beer
- wine o’clock : An appropriate time of day for starting to drink wine
