OLGR Compliance Blitz Throughout The Festive Season
Licenced venues should expect visits from authorities as part of a festive season compliance blitz organised by the OLGR.
Venue management an operating procedures over the festive season will be the target of the operation wich NSW Deputy premier and minister for justice and police, Troy Grant recently announced.
Inspectors from the OLGR will be sent out across Sydney an regional locations in the operation which began last weekend.
Venues all around Australia need to ensure they are ready for the festive season and to keep patrons safe, alcohol must be served responsibly.

Decorate the rim of a Champagne flute by dipping it in a saucer of water then into a dish of one tablespoon caster sugar mixed with half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon.Add one tablespoon of ginger syrup from a jar of stem ginger into the glass then top with equal quantities of pear juice and Prosecco, garnish with a slice of stem ginger.

Alcohol Could Reduce Risk of Alzheimers while Stress In Older People Increases it
According to recent studies, while stress may be the cause of alzheimers, alcohol consumption may actually reduce the risk.
The Danish Alzheimer’s Intervention Study (DAISY), found that moderate alcohol consumption can lower the risk of dying from the disease. The results came from data collected on 330 people with early stage dementia or Alzheimer’s and their primary carers from Denmark.
Researchers found that consumption of two to three units of alcohol a day was linked to a 77 per cent lower risk of death compared with one or fewer daily units.
