I recently came across a post about the things that we’re consuming that’s adding to our anxiety. Anxiety is one of the most common mental health issues that occur amongst Australians, so being mindful of the following foods may be helpful,
- Coffee: A stimulant which if consumed in excess can add to anxiety. Poor sleep, heart palpitations and anxiety are just some of the related effects.
- High fat and sugar content: Poor nutrient quality foods has a negative impact on your mood and affect blood sugar levels.
- Alcohol: Alcohol is a depressant and when consumed in excess, will also affect your mood and contribute to anxiety.
