There has never been a time when food auditing was as necessary as it is today with the growth of the global market we live in where suppliers are importing foods from around the world.
The Food Safety Information Council, agrees that food auditing is vital to the safety of the Australian public, with the many recent food poisoning outbreaks as evidence of this fact.
The Food Safety Information Council says food poisoning is responsible for 31,920 hospitalisations and kills at least 86 people around Australia. While more attention needs to be given to imported food safety checks, food auditing is also crucial to minimising food poisoning fatalities.
