The organiser of the 2015 Oktoberfest in the Gardens has been issued a $26,100 fine for permitting intoxicated patrons and serious breaches of licence conditions.
The organiser pleaded guilty to 11 offences relating to the licenced event which attracted some 12,000 patrons in October 2015.
An investigation was conducted by Liquor and Gaming NSW, following which the organiser was sentenced in the Downing Centre Local Court.
Some patrons were intoxicated and were unable to stand unaided, spilling their drinks and unable to speak without slurring when NSW Police and inspectors from Liquor and Gaming NSW attended the event.
