Barossa Police, as well as other police around the country have been warning drivers not to drink and drive in the lead up to Christmas and New Years.

Barossa Police highlighted the fact that 5 drivers drink driving were detected over the weekend, 3 of them in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said these incidents reminded us of the importance of this message especially around this time of the year. People need to be cautious not to drink and then get behind a wheel as this could have devastating consequences.
