You may be wondering why someone would need to do an online course on the responsible service of alcohol. Surely everyone would know what to do and people would drink responsibly? Well in an ideal world this would be the case for everyone. But sometimes some people just don’t know how to drink responsibly and other people may just have a bad day and it may be a one off.
Have you ever had a friend or someone you know who has injured themselves by being too drunk and then walking in front of a car or maybe had a near miss. I once witnessed someone who was lying down on the road and as I was approaching them from across a car park they did get off the road, this only about 20 seconds before a car came round the corner at a normal speed but would have been to fast to break and not hit the person.
In all cases if you were the client then you would hope that someone else would look out for you and if you have had enough tell you that, or refuse to serve you.
