In QLD it is obligatory (since 1st Jan 2009) for specified people involved in Queensland’s liquor sector to have a current RSA training course certificate.
The certificate must be issued by an Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) approved trainer. Our trainer is an OLGR accepted trainer.
Staff involved in the serving or supply of liquor include approved managers, bar staff, glassies, floor hostesses and room service workers. New personnel have 30 days to get their RSA training course certificate, which will be legitimate for three years.
QLD will recognise an interstate ‘statement of attainment’ in SITHFAB009A to offer Responsible Service of Alcohol. However you will also have to finish an RSA bridging module either on the web or face to face. This will be coming shortly.
Every single day, people who serve alcohol may possibly be at risk of being fined hundreds of Australian dollars. When you have your official RSA certificate you can avoid this possibility by figuring out what it is to serve alcohol responsibly and do the best by your patrons, other personnel and oneself.
