Having a cocktail now and then may actually be the secret to a long life.

A study by researchers at the University of California carried out over the past 15 years, found that people who drank approximately 2 glasses of beer or wine a day were 18 per cent less likely to experience a premature death.

Researchers also found that people who were slightly overweight, not obese had a 3 per cent reduced chance of an early death.

Regular exercise and spending time practicing a hobby were also found to increase longevity.  See more at http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/alcohol-small-amounts-live-over-90-study-health-university-of-california-wine-beer-a8217521.html
