  • Parents That Supply Alcohol to Minors in The ACT may be in Trouble with New Laws

    New liquor laws have been passed by the ACT state government which aim to crack down on parents who supply their children or other minors with alcohol irresponsibly.

    The Liquor Amendment Bill brings the state in line with liquor laws in other states and territories.

    Not everyone is in favour of the amendment, The ACT Opposition says the laws are too vague.

  • London Bar where People Get Drunk Through their Eyes

    No drinking cocktails to get a buzz at this bar, you simply take your glasses off and absorb alcohol through your eyes and lungs.

    A bar in the basement of a Victorian building in Borough Market, South-East London, that was once the site of a monastery has been transformed into a Gothic bar where alcohol is released into the air using humidifiers.

  • Chinese Liquor Suppliers Adding Viagra to Alcohol

    Chinese police are investigating alcohol suppliers for apparently adding Viagra to alcohol and marketing it as having added health benefits.

    Authorities found that a total of 69 wine products, from 52 companies, had the drug or a substitute, as an additive.

    Nineteen companies are under criminal investigation.

    After 2 years of development the Retail Savvy Group’s cocktails on tap are finally ready for the public.

    Father’s Office was the first venue to offer the 12 different cocktails on tap and bartenders at the venue have been busy practicing to serve the tapped cocktails which make service of cocktails much faster and more convenient.

    Asian Beer Café is the second venue to offer the tapped cocktails.

  • University Study Shows Drinking Up Among Women

    A study from the University of NSW indicates that drinking among Australian women is up.

    The study also shows that young people are drinking more.

    The University of Sydney research compared data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics National Health Surveys in 2001 and 2011-12. The study contradicts data previously presented which stated that alcohol consumption in Australia was down.

  • ABS Finds Australians Drinking Up 13 Per Cent

    Although a recent survey claimed that alcohol consumption amongst the Australian population was down, the latest figures from The Australian Bureau of Statistics says otherwise.

    ABS figures indicate that Australians are drinking 13 per cent more than they did 10 years ago, with drinking rising among females and young people in the population.
