    The Spirit Awards have revealed the World’s Best Bar at a ceremony that took place in New Orleans.

    This year the American Bar at The Savoy London won the Riedel Crystal Trophy and the honour of being labelled as the best bar in the world.

    Categories included International Bartender of the Year which was won by Joe Schofield of the Tippling Club in Singapore.

    The best international cocktail bar category was won by Happiness Forgets in London.

    James Irvine from The Swillhouse Group won the competition with his Bocado cocktail last month.

    Three finalists competed at Darlinghurst’s Eternity Playhouse in front of around 150 people and 3 judges with Irvine emerging victorious.
