  • Sydney 2016 Craft Beer Week Program Launched

    The program has been just been launched for Sydney 2016 Craft Beer Week which will be running from Friday 21 October to Sunday 30 October.

    The program this year will include over 100 events at over 75 different venues including international brewery guests, beer and dessert pairing, beer history lessons and so on.

    The organisers say the event is for everyone from connoisseurs to the occasional drinker and will feature fun for everyone.

    Craft beer is one of the fastest growing drinks in popularity and this year’s program aims to reflect that.

  • Try this Spicy Bloody Mary Cocktail

    Although the bloody mary has become a popular cocktail especially for brunches, many people still don’t know how the drink came about or how to make it.

    The bloody mary is actually around 80 years old and was created in a Paris bar. The original recipe went something like this:

    • 1 oz. Stolichnaya vodka
    • 2 oz. Tomato juice
    • 1 dash lemon juice
    • 2 dashes salt
    • 2 dashes black pepper
    • 2 dashes cayenne pepper
    • 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

    Garnish with a lemon wedge and celery stalk.
