  • Alcohol Beats Paracetamol for Pain Relief

After a long night out it’s common to have a headache, and now experts from a UK university have found that alcohol and not paracetamol is the best painkiller. However they do warn that it is not a good long term plan for pain relief.

Consuming two pints of beer is apparently more effective at pain relief than painkillers, the study by Greenwich University researchers found.

According to researchers, by increasing your blood alcohol level to 0.08 you can increase your pain threshold.

So alcohol can be compared to codeine and is even more effective than paracetamol.

Personally it’s hard to believe binge drinking and getting drunk can be described as “intelligent” given the risks and consequences.
