Australian Suffering from Poisoning in Bali after Drinking Cheap Liquor
While a holiday is a time to relax and let loose, we still need to be vigilant when it comes to what we eat and drink.
Actually when we’re on holiday we need to be even more cautious about the drinks we consume and a case involving one Australian woman is an example of why.
The Perth woman suffered suspected methanol poisoning while on holiday in Bali and had to undergo emergency surgery to have half her pancreas removed.
The incident has left the woman with difficulty walking and speaking, but even worse is the fact that she may be stuck on the island due to not being able to pay her medical bills of more than $50,000.
The Australian Medical Association renewed its concerns about the number of people suffering methanol poisoning in Indonesia and advised Australians to avoid spirits if travelling to Indonesia.

Limit Your Party Drinking to 2 Drinks
When you go to a party or night out with your mates one of the hardest things to do can be to limit yourself to just 2 drinks, as is recommended.
For your health and safety, its best to stick to 2 drinks, we know this but when we’re with friends it’s tempting to match them drink for drink.
In an article on Lifehacker.com the writer suggested having your first drink be something you like and drinking it slowly.
Next have a hydrating drink, like a seltzer or juice. This will also help you avoid a hangover.
Make your second drink something you love and sip it slowly.
Remember drinking in moderation and responsibly should always be your goal, not getting wasted.
