Working in the hospitality industry is a lot of fun for most people and these days it is pretty much mandatory in most states to have completed an RSA Course. It may seem like a hassle, but the information you learn can make doing your job much easier.
When you understand the rules and the consequences it makes it much easier to deal with a customer who has had too much to drink and is displaying inappropriate behaviour. This is becasue the RSA course gives you a greater understanding of the impact this has on the person and the other customers in the establishment. You are actually doing them a favour even though they most likely will not see that at the time.
Knowing the rules also gives you a lot more confidence. Which is very important when you are working with people who are intoxicated as they will be more likely to listen to someone who is speaking confidently and clearly.
So when you are doing the RSA course it will make a big difference to the experience of the RSA course if you think about how it will help you to feel happier and more confident in the job you are doing.
