Well firstly alcohol intolerance is much more unpleasant. Often it is the grains that the alcohol is made of that people are allergic to rather than alcohol itself. For example beer, wine, and liquor each contain the allergen histamine, produced as a result of the fermentation process.
Beer and wine also contain sulfites, used as a preservative but which are known to affect people with asthma.

Researchers have found that not only do chimpanzees share the human characteristics of understanding language and even fairness, they also enjoy alcoholic drinks.
Amazingly scientists studying chimpanzees in Guinea have discovered evidence of long-term and recurrent ingestion of ethanol by apes.
The scientists observed chimps over a period of 17 years and saw them making tools out of leaves to soak up fermented sap and then drink it. They then exhibited signs of inebriation.
